Quality, service and integrity are at the heart of both the South African Chefs Association and N1 Restaurant Suppliers, and as such, we are thrilled to announce the new, dynamic partnership between SACA and N1 that will run until 2017.
The South African Chefs Association (SACA), the authority on all things culinary in South Africa, have been representing chefs, cooks and caterers at every level for the last 40 years, and the association continues to strive to represent its members, the chefs of South Africa, in the best possible ways.
With over 20 years’ experience, N1 Restaurant Suppliers are a leading wholesale supplier of Halaal and Non-Halaal meat and other food products to sectors of the hotel, restaurant and hospitality industries, as well as the export market.
This partnership formally recognises N1as an official Culinary Partner of SACA, specifically supplying meat and meat products to the South African National Culinary Team, as well as to the Tsogo Sun Centre for Culinary Excellence (CCE), which is SACA’s state of the art skills kitchen and demonstration theatre.
The South African National Culinary Team represent our country at international competitions across the globe, and the team will be using meat supplied by N1 for their practices leading up to the competitions, as well as during live demonstrations and events at conferences across the country.
SACA’s CCE is a dedicated space for chefs and cooks to hone their skills through specialised, inexpensive culinary workshops. The association is pleased to have the support of high-quality meat supplier, N1, which will enable the chefs to work with superior meat during the workshops, while also assisting SACA in keeping the cost of the courses down.
“SACA partners with quality suppliers to the hospitality industry in order to support our members in new and exciting ways. We are proud of our new partnership with N1 Restaurant Suppliers, and we thank them for their generous contribution to the chefs of South Africa,” said President of SACA, Stephen Billingham.
An exciting partnership, which will be the start of many important initiatives to come, both SACA and N1 look forward to coming together to support and celebrate the culinary arts industry of South Africa.
